It is sort of becoming “our thing” to head down to Tucson at least once a summer for some vegging out at the El Conquistador.
With school starting so early this year we didn’t make it in time for it to be out annual end of summer bash- but we did head down just in time to visit with family for my Grammys 75th birthday weekend.
I was able to spend some time going through some of her recipe files and snagging some mementos and keepsakes
Our second big camping trip of the summer was really something we had been looking forward to for months! Our small group of 7 couples and all of our kids started planning a group trip way back in February- so we had lots of time to plan and get excited!
We took up five big spots on at the beautiful Fools Hollow Lake up in the White Mountains for three days.
I know that I owe the handful of people that read here NEW HOUSE pictures…but I want to share those when I am more then 50% unpacked..and well since we moved in and then promptly said to hell with this Phoenix summer heat (averaging 109 and its BARELY June) and fled to the mountains..that seems to be at least a few more days weeks away.
Until then here are some photos from the Mogollon Rim…we enjoyed a few glorious days with my grammy and papa (click to view bigger)
We have a fabulous big group trip planned for further north near Show Low later this month in which over 20 people (adults and kids) from our small group will all be congregating on God’s country to rough it…so this is the summer of camping for us.
Hope you all have some fun planned and are able to stay cool!
